Regardless of where one stands on our domestic politics, the country really needs this deal to work. If it succeeds, the Republicans might not face harsh judgment at the polls this fall and in 2008, but lets put that in context: If it fails, the Democrats will have no good choices left in the Middle East as they try to clean up the mess left behind by our poor choices earlier this decade.

Impeachment? Hell no. Impalement. Upon the sharp and righteous sword of the people’s justice. Make it a curtain rod. Because it would hurt more.
