Last day on the payroll
My newspaper career ended last year, but my buyout officially ends today. Hey, at least I got paid longer than those people who hung on like grim death only to get laid-off last month.
What comes after this? We shall see.

The last Friday cartoons

These Tuesdays when I stay home and draw have been my saving grace over the last 18 months. It's the part of my work routine I'll miss the most.

The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes vander Xark
My last day working at the paper (I'm taking a buyout) after more than 14 years on the job will be Aug. 22. As things work out, that means there are just four more caption contests.
