I know.

I really want to believe that news can once again be news, not entertainment that uses "controversy" to grab quick ratings.

And I really, really want to believe that people are learning from the very recent past.


i tried to watch "THE SITUATION ROOM" (all caps added, because that's the way it seems to be presented) the other night. the topic was new budget deficit figures, the guest was Sen. Graham, and Blizter's question was: "Who is more to blame? Republicans or Democrats?"

That not reporting. That's not explaining. That's nothing at all. In fact, it's less than nothing, because it's just clogging our consciousness with shit.

I turned it off. Again.
