Well I've decided to join my dear mother and that one guy Dan in stirring up trouble on teh interwebz.
As my first post,I'll talk about how I feel about Senator Barack Obama, and how my folks, and Obama himself, have inspired me. I feel that since tomorrow is election day and one of the most important in American history, I thought I'd talk about my part in it. .......and then i would post up a funny video from www.foxattacks.com about good old 'Papa Bear'... but embedding is something Dan will have to show me how to do....Imagen that.. Dan, teaching somebody.
Obama has the potential to help end the hate mongering and fear
mongering that has run rampant in the U.S. for many years, since before
McCarthyism. His calmness and steadiness in the face of outrageous and
hateful bullshit is impressive.
Obama has helped restore my faith. Many people are cynical, even about
him. I do not blame them. Politics as usual these past years, to me, have been quite horrid. But I see in Obama something inconsistent
with past candidates, something in the way he campaigns, his attitude
and his message. He is very intelligent, anyone can see if they do a
little research. Sure, Obama has fabricated somethings, and he does
make things seem worse than they are, but really, I believe they would
get much worse with another Mc'Bush' in office.
Obama has consistently promised upholding the American dream, the real American dream. The one dreamed up by our forefathers, that all men and women are created equal, that they have certain unalienable rights, that we are one and must act as one to better this country..this world. What has become of America disgusts me, and I've only seen 18 years of it. We must stop being destructive, and become constructive.
He plans on removing the Bush tax cuts for the rich. Giving veterans that come home support, helping them with their PTSD...unlike the republicans, who seem so 'patriotic' when it comes to sending these people off to war, but don't give a damn what happens when they get home. They have consistently refused to acknowledge PTSD as a mental disorder. Really, overall, my instincts tell me this man is sincere. I usually never trust my instincts, or used to not trust them. That got me into a lot of trouble two years ago. Perhaps it is foolish to put so much trust in a politician because of a gut feeling...
...but i feel this is hope for America. Maybe he's not completely sincere, but there are those out there who believe he is sincere. Maybe one day they will come up there and be sincere. Maybe one day they will change politics forever. But I see Obama has this kind of candidate.
That's why I'm voting tomorrow.
I'm sure your all thinking, who the hell is this?
My name's Lee, and I'm the son of the awesome Janet and the stepson of good old Dan Conover... and I've come to tear this blog down from the inside out!
Go Lee!

To semi-quote a great movie character, from an old movie you haven't seen yet...
"Welcome ... to the fight. This time I know our side will win."
For the record, Lee turned 18 last month, and he's voting for the first time in his life today.
